Letty is a clinical psychologist who draws from her extensive clinical experience working with adults, couples, families, children, adolescents, and groups across various public, private, and community health settings as well as universities in Victoria, South Australia and Perth. She is also a board-approved clinical supervisor (for other psychologists) and an accredited CPT for PTSD provider.
Letty believes in the importance of establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients and is genuinely curious and respectful of her client’s context, inner strivings and strengths. She works collaboratively with her clients to ensure that treatment is customised to their specific needs while guided by sound clinical assessment, evidence based psychological treatments and outcome goals and measures. She also strongly believes in strengthening her clients’ motivation, personal strengths and social support, to successfully achieve change.
Letty’s special interests are trauma and relationship issues. She has also assisted clients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality issues (e.g, borderline personality disorder), severe psychiatric presentations, OCD, adjustment difficulties, chronic pain, child and adult ADHD, addictions, eating disorders, behavioural issues, life transitions, selective mutism, autism, cross-cultural and LGBTIQ issues. Her clients enjoy working with her and she has been described by them as genuine, empathetic, warm, good humoured, skilled, and insightful.
Letty is trained in a number of evidence-based treatment including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) across the lifespan and presentations, Enhanced CBT for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Regulation (EMDR), Prolonged exposure for PTSD. She uses the Gottman Method and Systems approach for her couples and family work.
